Summary: Informality
According to "American Values and Assumptions", American probably live informal ways. This phenomenon affects to American's live such as dressing, eating, and communication habits. For example, American like wearing jeans, sandals, or other informal cloth. Another example is, when we have a dinner at a restaurant, waiter/waitress will take care us in a casual. Still another, most American probably talk to each other by using informal words such as idiom and slang. As a result, they generally have behavior and relationship with each other in a informal way. In my opinion, it sounds good that American have a simple life. People have freedom to do whatever they want. But I think they also should do at the right place in the right time.

Sunday in the Park (Bel Faufman)

Author's point of view
In my opinion, the author tries to explain the difference between two society status. In other words, they are good and bad habit in each side. Moreover, the author points out behaviors between them, those reflect to family/personal/social/educational background. Wording in each sentence clearly represents characteristic of play. Readers absolutely define that which sentence belongs to good and bad play. Also, we can answer questions after reading easily.

Personal reflection
If I have found this kind of situation, I do not do anything because I believe that it is none of my business that I need to correct and change someone's habit. I think it is very difficult to change behavior from one to another (from bad to good). For me, I try to ignore and avoid to make a conversation with them. It wastes my time to do that. Regarding to the story, it points out that when Morton talks to the big man, the big man ignores in every word that Mortan said. This situation really happens the real world. We cannot change personal's mind. I, however, think that we can live together peacefully.

GM and Ford are in straitened circumstances

Summary the news.
Regarding to US economic crisis, it affects to not only other countries, but also cross-industry all over the world. Finance and banking is the first industry that directly got effect. It also impacts to others, including automobile industry. Of course, when we think about 'US automobile representative', it becomes to General Motor (GM) and Ford. They are symbolic of US industrial revolution after World War II. Also, they were one of the biggest company in the world in the 21st century. But now, they got economic impact as similar as other companies. Their accumulate net loss for three years, their stock price decreasing, and their financial credit demotion are examples of situations that can become to bankrupt finally. Moreover, they face with strong-competitors such as Toyota and Honda, that make them much worse in competition. However, many critics think that GM and Ford ultimately can escape from this situation, because they believe that US government will help them which represent US auto-industry and their businesses link to network of other related suppliers.

Personal response.
I also believe that those two companies will not bankrupt at the end, because GM and Ford represent the United States of America. Anyway that is only one of the companies that get impact from economic crisis. Definitely, I believe that there are companies that are under this kind of situation. This is only the beginning point of crisis. You might be wrong if you think that this is the lowest point for econonic decease.

According to Mitchell and Myles, english is the second language that most people desire to learn after they can communicate their native language. Learning English, learners are able to study inside or outside classroom. Thus, they can be either children or adults. What does the learner should do when he/she is studying? The answer is the process how to process, learn, and store knowledge skill of new language. However, the point is what the appropriate age of learner that can study second language. Hence, it is to deal with individual difference between learners which has two kinds; first is cognitive factors that are related to ability, aptitude, and strategies of learner. Another factor is affective (mental ability) that is related to attitudes, motivation, and anxiety of learner. As a result, we focus in trends on learners that also have two types; universal and individual characteristics. The difference of between them is interesting in a social being. In other words, they are opinion and motivation of language learner. (pp.17-20)
